The Library at the Fashion Institute of Technology seeks a creative and service-oriented librarian with managerial experience to assist with running the Research and Instructional Service unit. Under the direction of the Head of Research & Instruction, this
person will help expand the reach of the Library by planning, implementing and evaluating instructional programs and reference services, employing technology to enhance face-to-face and online interactions, and collaborating with classroom faculty and academic
service departments.
Required qualifications:
ALA accredited MLS. 2-years post MLS experience in the areas of Reference & Instruction and 5 years management experience. Proven leadership skills & effective communication skills.
Solid knowledge of current instructional technologies. Familiarity with information literacy concepts, trends & standards.
