Librarian
Phoenix Art Museum

Phoenix Art Museum is seeking a Librarian to manage and administer the operations/functions, and preserve/develop the collections of Phoenix Art Museum's Lemon Art Research Library. Job duties include conducting research, providing information/materials in response to requests by members of the public, staff and other art research institutions; providing instruction on the use of various electronic information resources; and providing support for ARTstor, the Library's digital image online resource.  This position will also manage and supervise library staff, docent and community volunteers, as well as implement new library services, policies, and procedures according to statistical data and user feedback.


Minimum qualifications include ALA accredited Master of Library Science with a background in art history or related discipline, demonstrated through coursework, and/or work experience, and at least three years experience in a library/institutional archive, including administrative and supervisory experience. Candidates should have knowledge of AACR2, LCSH, USMARC, and LC classification systems and various reference resources.
