I want to add my congratulations to the announcement that Ted Goodman has been awarded this year's Distinguished Service Award. I still recall those amazing NYC conferences that Ted co-chaired. Indeed, after the incredible amount of work required the first time he chaired a NYC conference, I was truly awed by his co-chairing yet another ARLIS/NA NYC conference. Adding to those remarkable contributions, Ted was an outstanding President in 2001-serving from 2000-2002 including Vice President/President Elect and as Past President. Our presidents serve longer than any other Board member but even that was not enough for Ted who served multiple terms as our Treasurer, 1992, 1993, and 2008-2010. He may have broken a record for ARLIS/NA Board service! Ted, thank you so much for your extraordinary service to our profession! BJ (B.J.
