Society of Historians of East European, Eurasian, and Russian Art and Architecture (SHERA)
In response to increasing interest in the field, SHERA is extending its activities with renewed vigor under new leadership.
SHERA is an international society for scholars specializing in the art and architecture of Eastern Europe and the former Soviet Union, from ancient times to the present day. We are an affiliated society of both the College Art Association (CAA) and the Association of Slavic, East European, and Eurasian Studies (ASEEES), where we sponsor panels and meetings at annual conferences. Our main goals are to foster contacts among members and facilitate research for scholars, both in the U.S. and abroad.
SHERA sponsors sessions and holds regular meetings at both CAA and ASEEES, maintains an active listserv (http://lists.oakland.edu/mailman/listinfo/shera) and Facebook page, and is currently creating a new website. New members are welcome, and inquiries may be directed to [log in to unmask] for more information.
