Respectful of others, respectful of each other, Friendly Gestures 
[namaste] offers a new perspectives on global respect through art, 
language, music, and performance. Featuring Meena Alexander, Rikki Asher, 
Suzanne Benton, Filomena Borecká + Caroline Gillot, Anna Campbell, 
Luisella Carretta + Carolina Cuneo, Theresa DeSalvio, Mary DeVincentis, 
Michael Eckblad, Karen Fitzgerald, Xico Greenwald, Jayanthi Moorthy, 
Martin Patricny, Carol Radsprecher, Andy Slemenda, Marlene Wiedenbaum, 
Jeanne Wilkinson, Pawel Wojtasik, Leslie Shaw Zadoian.

The exhibition is sponsored by Queens Colleges Kupferberg Center for the 
Arts, QC Alumni Relations Office, Asian/American Center, Center for 
Ethnic, Racial and Religious Understanding, Godwin-Ternbach Museum, the 
Libraries, and Provost James R. Stellar. It is held in conjunction with 
the colleges Year of India program. 
Gallery Hours: Monday through Thursday, 9 am-8 pm; Friday and May 28, June 
27, 9 am-5 pm; closed weekends and holidays. Call after May 23rd for 
summer hours. Free and open to the public.
