We hope everyone will join us at the Autry National Center of the American West for our Welcome Party. The Autry is located in Griffith Park and is a great space to hold a party with its California Mission style central courtyard and the vaulted ceilings of the museum lobby. There will be a cash bar located in the lobby, appetizers passed on trays in the courtyard, and music from California's popular Western Swing combo, Sage Guyton and The Lucky Stars. The Autry is currently featuring the exhibit "Katsina in Hopi Life" and the permanent collection will also be available for viewing. The collections don't make this just a Cowboy and Indian museum. The Autry has an amazing collection that celebrates not only the historical west, but the mythological west as well. Yes, there are exhibits on cowboys and Colt revolvers, saloons and outlaws but there are also Wild West shows, rodeos, movie and TV westerns and so much more. The Autry Store ranks up there as one of the best museum gift shops I've ever visited. They are staying open just for us so be sure and visit and spend some money.
