Are you a member of ACRL? Do you work with images each day? We are an active, dynamic group, and we have a wonderful membership. In 2012, our Interest Group completed the Visual Literacy Competency Standards for Higher Education. As Convener, the first year (2013-14), you’d be working with our steering committee, and “learning the ropes”, then you’d become the Convener in July 2014-15. Our steering committee: me (Robin Leech), Kristina Keogh (Incoming Convener) and Amanda Milbourn (Listserv/Website Admin). We’ve had a great year, and everyone provides lots of assistance; I’ve made wonderful friends and met many new colleagues and learned so much! It has been a great experience. Please consider volunteering and becoming part of our dynamic interest group. Let me know if you have questions. Looking forward to working with all of you next year – and seeing you at ALA in June.
