Gerd Muehsam Award
The ARLIS/NA Gerd Muehsam Award Sub-Committee is pleased to announce that this year's GMA winner is Amanda Milbourn for her outstanding essay
“New Literacies = New Models: Using Embedded Librarianship to Proactively Address the Need for Visual Literacy Instruction in Higher Education.”
Amanda graduated from the University of California, Los Angeles Graduate School of Education and Information Science, in June 2012. She is currently working as an Assistant Librarian
at Disney Consumer Products in Glendale, California. She will be attending the upcoming annual conference in Pasadena and she will be presenting her essay as part of the
New Voices in the Profession panel on Friday, April 26th.
Special thanks to the seventeen applicants who took the time to submit an essay or web project, and congratulations to Amanda Milbourn!
