OCLC's redesigned website features a section devoted to Member Resources, including information about OCLC Global Council and OCLC Americas Regional Council, both of which offer opportunities for librarians to participate in OCLC Cooperative governance: https://www.oclc.org/councils.en.html. Member Resources page features information about activities of the Global and Regional Councils and covers main themes and documents discussed at the Global Council meetings: OCLC membership, WorldCat record quality and use policies, Cost-Sharing models, and communication between OCLC, the Councils, and OCLC Members: https://www.oclc.org/membership/member-resources.en.html. There has also been recent interest in exploring opportunities for collaboration between libraries, archives, and museums, which led to a LAM Interest Group meeting at the Global Council Meeting in November, 2012. I expect these conversations to continue at the upcoming April 2013 Global Council Meeting. I think that OCLC has resources and technical expertise to support collaboration between libraries and cultural heritage institutions, in areas such as metadata exchange, linked data development, and cross-collection search engines. I will keep you informed about further developments in this area. Please do not hesitate to contact me with questions.
