Dear colleagues,
As you know, BookCrossing is an international initiative that enables people to share and swap books, as well as track any book once it has been put into circulation, by making information available concerning who has read it and where.
In the last four years, some 100 museums have contributed to BookCrossing on International Day of the Book by releasing a total of 9,000 books in various disciplines that they have duplicate copies of in their libraries.
This year, we propose to celebrate International Day of the Book on 23 April by extending the BookCrossing or Book Release campaign internationally http://www.bookcrossing.com/
For this reason, I am writing to you to encourage you to join us in the project, in the hope that this year there will be more institutions flooding our cities with books.
If you are going to join the campaign, please let me know so that as the day approaches, we can publicise the event properly, mentioning all the centres that are taking part.
If you have any suggestions, please do not hesitate to get in touch with us and we will try to help you implement your ideas.
I hope you will join us.
