The United States Holocaust Memorial Museum recently launched a Cross-Collections catalog that provides access to all museum collections: Archives, Art & Artifacts, Library,Oral History, and Photo Archives, in one convenient integrated search.

The launch of this online catalog is part of an intensive effort to make collection materials available online with audio and visual files, images, and transcripts.

Object records include basic information such as title, medium, dimensions, date, inscriptions. But in keeping with the USHMM's unique nature as a living memorial to victims of the Holocaust and as an educational resource, records also include the story of the object's owner in the context of the Holocaust, as well as a more extended biography.
