Enriching the Museum Visitor Experience: Two Popular Library Outreach Programs
Monday, February 4th, 2013
11am Pacific - 12pm Mountain - 1pm Central - 2pm Eastern

Guests:
Sheila Cork, Librarian, New Orleans Museum of Art
Leah High, Public Services Librarian, Metropolitan Museum of Art

Please join us for an informal discussion of the challenges and benefits of coordinating public programs held in art museum libraries. Such programs offer added value to the museum experience by providing unique opportunities for museum visitors and members of all ages to engage with library services and resources.

We will be joined by Sheila Cork, Librarian at the New Orleans Museum of Art, who has organized a popular book club featuring exhibition-related readings and discussions. Leah High, Public Services Librarian at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, co-manages a daily storytime program for a range of young museum visitors in the Met’s Nolen Library. Sheila and Leah will facilitate an interactive conversation in which attendees may learn more about these specific programs, as well as share their own experiences and questions about museum library programming.

To join the chat, head to http://arlisna.speeqe.com/ at the chat's start time.
