Just a friendly reminder that travel award applications for VRA SoCal
are due this Friday. See the announcement below for more details:

2013 VRA Annual Conference Travel Awards
The Visual Resources Association's Southern California Chapter is
pleased to announce the availability two *$300 travel award* to attend
the VRA annual conference in Providence, RI.

Anyone in the Southern California area may apply, but applicants
must be both national and local chapter members of the VRA.Please
note that early bird registration for the conference ends on
February 28.The successful awards recipients will receive the funds
after proof of registration is provided.
TRAVEL AWARD
The criteria used in applicant evaluation are financial need, expected
benefits, level of conference participation (i.e., session moderator,
speaker, workshop leader, committee chair, etc.), first-time attendance,
and/or veteran professional attendance (i.e., in the profession for at
least five years and unable to attend a national conference for the last
three).Applications do not have to be lengthy, but should indicate how
the applicant meets the above-listed award criteria and provide a brief
summary of expected expenses to demonstrate financial need (please
include an account of any funds your institution might be contributing).
*DEADLINE:*
The *deadline for submissions is Friday, February 8, 2013* and materials
should be e-mailed OR received in the post ON or BEFORE that date.
