The Literary Hybrid/Book Arts Workshop *
@ Kenyon Review Writers' Workshop
Kenyon College, Gambier, OH
Saturday, June 15 - Saturday, June 22, 2013
Located on the bucolic campus of Kenyon College in the rolling hills of
Ohio, the Kenyon Review Writers' Workshop is one of the most esteemed
summer writing workshops in the country, sponsored by the preeminent
literary journal, *The Kenyon Review.*
The Kenyon Review's NEW *Literary Hybrid/Book Arts Workshop* is an
innovative, cross-disciplinary workshop that blends together the visual
arts with techniques of different literary genres to generate creative
work through the art of the book. Using a range of exercises and
materials, participants will create new work through visual and textual
explorations.
Whether you are an artist wishing to deepen your engagement with
text, or a writer curious about the book arts, this workshop promises to
open up a variety of creative practices to generate new content and
form.
While many book arts workshops focus on book structures and technical
skills, this workshop concentrates on content and concept in the book
form. This intensive week-long workshop is co-taught by book artist,
Ellen Sheffield, and cross-genre writer, Gretchen Henderson.
