At the ARLIS/NA Pasadena conference this April, we will have a session devoted to RDA as well as a workshop covering NACO and RDA.

If you haven’t done so yet, check out Dan Lipcan’s article in the Fall 2012 issue of Art Documentation: “Faith-Based Cataloging: Resource Description and Access and Libraries, Archives, and Museums.” Dan does a wonderful job of covering the basics of RDA, its implications for art libraries, and possible roles for ARLIS/NA.

Happy New Year to everyone! I hope it was joyous and relaxing holiday season for all of us!

This may be a redundant or naive question, but does anyone have any thoughts/comments/concise information on the upcoming RDA? I'm trying to assimilate a lot of information on this and relate to our practices here, but it's mind-boggling!

Is there anything that ARLIS/NA can do to assist small libraries like mine, in understanding the implications of this? Any discussion on this topic would be greatly valued.
