At IFLA in Helsinki a number of you expressed interest in visiting Australia before attending the WLC in Singapore.

 

We have been busy creating an exciting itinerary which will shortly be up on the IFLA Art Libraries Section website.   I have included the itinerary below to ensure you have the dates as soon as possible. This study tour will give you a chance to visit Australia’s capital city (Canberra), Australia’s biggest city (Sydney) ,  and the warm and fascinating city of Darwin together with a visit to Aboriginal art centres on the nearby Tiwi Islands.

NOTES: Participants will arrange their own flights as it is often cheaper to purchase internal flights when you are flying internationally. Arrangements will be made for block bookings for accommodation if required, but participants will pay for their own accommodation. (If you require a less expensive hotel please let us know.For example, there is also the Castlereagh Hotel in Sydney which is less expensive. but further from Circular Quay)

The number of participants must be limited for logistical reasons.
