I didn't have the pleasure of getting to know Wolfgang, but he made a very strong impression on me at ARLIS conferences when I was a new librarian. His stature as a scholar and art librarian were inspiring. It saddens me to see him (and his generation of librarians) leaving us, but I'm thankful for his contributions and legacy.
