The message below was sent out on the Archives & Archivists list, and since Laura had been an active member of ARLIS for many years, it seems appropriate to share. Laura was a wonderful colleague and friend, and her passion, dedication, skill and humor were an inspiration to many of us. In addition to her numerous professional accomplishments, she had been head of the Northern California ARLIS chapter -- and for a while a great picture of her slide-viewing technique graced the “What Our Members Are Saying…” box on the ARLIS homepage. She will be sorely missed.

Colleagues, Laura Tatum, who worked in Manuscripts and Archives in the Yale
University Library for six years as our architecture records archivist, passed away
Saturday night after a lengthy illness. At the time she was with her family, in her
home, which is just where she wanted to be. Those of you who had the opportunity to
know and work with her will remember Laura as a superb archivist and a warm and
generous colleague and friend, and we will all greatly miss her.
If you would like to make a donation in Laura's memory, she asked that the following
