While the Ansel Adams photographs were never "lost," it did
take the energy and resources of Professor Cole, our curators, and
Bancroft to bring them to light as an exhibition. And there is an
interesting story behind them as to why they were made and why they were
not more overtly celebrated at the time... so, let there be light,
again!
