Dear CW,
Please reply to me directly, off-list.
I am interested in hearing from those of you who are at museum libraries that allow public access (not students). I’m looking to hear what you ‘re doing for visitor sign-in.
Do you require the public to sign-in/out?
Do you require photo ID for visitors to enter the premises?
Do you keep statistics relating to your patrons?
What kind of information do you ask visitors to provide?
If you keep records, are they on paper, in a locally created system, or stored by a third party?
Are those records then accessible only to library staff, or also to museum-wide staff?
Do you have exhibits in your library?
Input greatly appreciated – Thanks in advance!
