[Description: The Art of Death & Dying]<http://artofdeathanddying.blogspot.com/> The University of Houston October 24-27, 2012 Registration<http://artofdeathanddying.blogspot.com/p/registration.html> is now open! The University of Houston Libraries, in partnership with the Blaffer Art Museum, Cynthia Wood Mitchell Center for the Arts, Department of Hispanic Studies, Honors College, National Museum of Funeral History, Preservation Houston, and School of Art, will host a three day interdisciplinary symposium on artistic explorations of death, commemoration, and dying. Papers will be presented in the fields of architecture and landscape architecture, art criticism and theory, art history, cultural studies, film and television, literature, and music.
