Talks: Wednesday, May 2, 5-8 pm (Artists? Talks 6-7 pm) Many cultures believe an evil eye can cause injury or bad luck for the person at whom it is directed for reasons of envy or dislike. Attempts to ward off the curse of the evil eye have led to proliferation of talismans around the Mediterranean, especially in Turkey. Contemporary artists explore the Turkish ?evil eye? and find commonality within their own culture.
