Hi Amy,
Sophie Calle has done work that combines photography with travel and/or stalking. One project mapped a road trip to Vegas to be married to a stranger (of sorts). She has also done projects with the writer Paul Auster but I do not know if these collaborations have resulted in literary artifacts.
There is, of course, Let Us Now Praise Famous Men by James Agee with photographs by Walker Evans. An amazing illustrated travelogue if there ever was one.
Please do share your replies with the list.

Good afternoon,
I hope those of you with strong book arts and/or photography backgrounds can help me with this query. A student is writing a paper on the Ed Ruscha edition of On the Road and is looking for works of a similar nature for comparison. Do you know of any titles of literary works that deal with the concept of the road/on the road that are illustrated with photographs?
Many thanks in advance,
Amy
