(Apologies for any cross posting) Greetings, A verdict was issued in the Georgia State case yesterday evening. For a helpful summary and analysis of the case, please visit the most recent posting on Kevin Smith's blog, Scholarly Communications @ Duke: "The GSU Decision-- Not an Easy Road For Anyone" http://blogs.library.duke.edu/scholcomm/ Here is a link to the full text of the case: http://www.infodocket.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/05/GA-State-Opinion.pdf I'm still reading the entire text, which is about 350 pages long, but after reading Kevin Smith's analysis, it seems to be a mixed bag for libraries. For instance, the judge stated very strict limits on how much of a book can be copied: 10% may be copied based on the total pages of the book.
