We would like to draw your attention to a new Image Set from Scholars Resource:

CDR-1117:  Ancient Spiritual and Domestic Sites

Description: This set addresses European sites of special significance from neolithic times. These may be a place of worship such as the megalithic temples of Malta, or a domestic site as at Skara Brae in the Orkney Islands. More often, the sites remain generally unexplained, such as the ancient stone circles and alignments found in northern Europe, the best known of which is, of course, Stonehenge on the Wiltshire plain of England. All these monuments leave us an intriguing hint of the ancient societies and religions that built them. March 2012
