The ACRL Image Resources Interest Group (IRIG) is seeking an Incoming
Convener/Convener for 2012-2014. IRIG positions are dynamic and flexible,
with many opportunities for leadership, involvement with ACRL, and
collaborative and creative work. Membership in ACRL is required for this
position.

The Incoming Convener will work with the Convener and Past Convener to:

*	develop event programming and project plans;
*	conceptualize and pursue IRIG initiatives and activities in support
of member interests and ACRL’s strategic plan;
*	communicate with members, ACRL sections and leadership, and outside
organizations;
*	develop IRIG membership.

The Incoming Convener for 2012-2013 will assume the role of Convener for the
2013-2014 year. The Incoming Convener will be appointed by May 1, so that
s/he can attend the ACRL New Leader Orientation in mid-May. However, s/he
will not assume the responsibilities of the Incoming Convener until July 1.

volunteering for the position of IRIG Incoming Convener/Convener for the
2012-2012 and 2013-2014 years. Please include some information about your
interest in images in academic libraries, any previous involvement with IRIG,
and your experience with committee/collaborative work.
