Dear Judy and Steve, I concur with Steve. Steve points out the range of choices from Epson; I can also recommend Canon. I have a Canon 8400f flatbed at home for which I paid US$130 several years ago. It can handle four 35mm slides, or one strip of negatives, at a time, with excellent preview results. I will also be interested in others' approaches to the question Judy raises.
