Dear Colleagues,
Thank you for the advice and comments on my query about job qualifications and the importance  of a requirement for an art history formal degree (BA, MA, PhD)  for an  art reference librarian in a specialized collection, in addition to the MLS.   I will try to summarize the diverse responses next week.
