Just sent this to VRA-L, so please forgive duplication!

Hi Collective Wisdom of ARLIS/NA,

Given increasing interest and demand, we're considering subscribing to a stock photo service (Thinkstockphotos.com) and I wondered if any other schools/institutions have done this and what your experiences have been. I'm particularly interested in pace of use -- by that I mean, is use pretty steady or is it more sporadic (assignment-driven, perhaps)? The pricing model the company proposes is for a relatively steady stream of use, but I suspect our use will be very sporadic with highs and lows.

Please reply off-list to [log in to unmask] -- I'll consolidate responses for all those interested.

thanks much,
Rebecca
