I am pleased to announce that Pratt Institute-SILS is generously sponsoring MLIS graduate student Kai Alexis Smith’s attendance at the 40th Annual ARLIS Conference in Toronto through Project-CHART.

Project-CHART is an Institute of Museums and Library Services (IMLS) funded collaborative program between Pratt Institute, the Brooklyn Museum, the Brooklyn Historical Society, and the Brooklyn Public Library.  The program aims to prepare information professionals as digital managers of cultural heritage across museums, libraries, and archives.

Kai will serve on the ARLIS/NA Diversity Committee in 2012.  Toronto will be Kai’s first ARLIS/NA conference experience; I hope many of you will have the opportunity to meet her there.
