ARLIS/NA 2011-2012 Internship Award Recipient Selected The Art Libraries Society of North America is pleased to announce Lindsey Reynolds as the recipient of its 2012-2012 Internship Award. This prestigious award grants $2,500 to support a period of internship for a student preparing for a career in art librarianship or visual resources curatorship. In addition to the $2,500 stipend, Ms. Reynolds will receive a one-year complimentary membership in ARLIS/NA. Lindsey Reynolds is currently a student in the Master of Library and Information Studies degree program at the University of Alabama. She holds a BFA in art from the University of Georgia. Ms. Reynolds has experience working in a variety of library settings including museums, public libraries, academic libraries, and archives and special collections. She has also worked with community-based arts organizations in developing collection management plans. She has contributed to projects in the areas of collection development and management, including archival theory. The Subcommittee reviewed almost 40 applications and is pleased to report that many of them were outstanding. While only one ARLIS/NA Internship Award is granted each year, ARLIS/NA does maintain a list of paid and unpaid internship opportunities; interested students and potential hosts are encouraged to visit the Internship Roster website for more information.
