Visual Resources Manager

 

Lafayette College seeks a full-time Visual Resources Manager to serve the curricular and research needs of the Department of Art with secondary responsibility for support of other campus constituents. The position coordinates Visual Resources for art history and studio art instruction at Lafayette College and manages the Digital Imaging Center embedded within the Department of Art. It reports to Digital Scholarship Services in Skillman Library, and the Chair of the Department of Art.

 

Primary functions: develops and maintains a core digital image collection to support the curriculum and oversees all daily operations at the Visual Resources Center. Coordinates the workflow of all on-site image production, including: processing faculty requests, acquisition research, digital capture, editing, and final cataloging. Provides on-call technical support to faculty in all aspects of digital image usage and general hardware and software issues. Administers computer lab workstations and assists in their usage. Performs content updates to Department of Art web page and online resources. Trains undergraduate assistants.
