Error during command authentication.

As promised I’m summarizing for the list. There was one response from an inventor in Colorado, via the Portland Art Museum (thanks to Debra Royer). After looking at the flickr images, he suggested that the requestor contact an artist in California  http://www.reubenmargolin.com/waves/index.html

My requestor responded:

I am trying to figure out if these items would have been used at all to assist in drawing purposes or in teaching geometry at all in Canada in the nineteenth century.
