Hello Colleagues. I’m cross posting to several lists; apologies for any duplication.

The Colby College Libraries seek to strengthen and formalize our library liaison program. Currently we have a loosely-structured librarian/subject based program, with particular librarian/faculty representative affiliations based on discipline, primarily for collection development and instruction purposes. We are seeking to develop a model that involves staff in involved in core faculty services (ILL, reserves, digital repository) as well as “subject” librarians, to widen our perspective on how we can best serve the core needs of faculty.

As chair of the working group which is charged with revamping the liaison program, I would like to hear from other colleagues who have recently revamped their liaison program, or started one anew. I would like to hear about any new trends which you have incorporated into your program (e.g. embedded librarianship). If you have your program documented on the web or via other means, I would be most appreciative if you would share your program document.

Colby College is a 4- year undergraduate-based liberal arts institution. http://libguides.colby.edu/home2

Thank you, in advance.

Chair, Library Liaison Program Working Group
