Hello all! Portland was lucky enough to escape the worst as the storm turned inland rather than follow the coast. Still, a lot of wind and a lot of rain cause some outages. The library is fine (the blowing wind got rid of some gull poop on our window - side benefit!) with no leakages. Classes started as planned this morning, but yesterday our poor incoming freshman class had to cancel a much anticipated boat trip to Peak's Island, just off the coast. And today is perfect! Don't you just love Mother Nature!?
