At SVA we're preparing an exhibit about the here is new york
exhibition/project (http://hereisnewyork.org/index2.asp) which
originated in our MFA photo department. The original exhibition in
SoHo featured thousands of photographs related to 9/11 by both
professional and amateur photographers; 500 prints traveled to
galleries and museums in the US and around the world. Approximately
250 will be displayed at SVA in the fall, alongside related materials
(the SVA Archives holds two original traveling sets of digital prints,
plus the papers of the projects' organizers).
