The Reanimation Library is very pleased to announce the launch of the newly redesigned www.reanimationlibrary.org The Reanimation Library is a small, independent Presence Library open to the public. It is a collection of books that have fallen out of routine circulation and been acquired for their visual content. Outdated and discarded, they have been culled from thrift stores, stoop sales, and throw-away piles, and given new life as a resource for artists, writers, cultural archeologists, and other interested parties. The library is committed to locating, preserving, and making available exceptional examples of visual material from the sediment of print culture. As an analog repository, the physical objects that the library houses are of critical importance to its mission. However, we live in an increasingly digital age, and through its new website, the library aims to provide a much richer online experience of its collections. The redesigned website has retained many of the current site's existing features, but it has added the ability to to search the library's entire holdings, to browse the collection by title, call number, subject, and recent acquisitions, and to browse its growing image archive, which currently numbers over 3,600 files. Please have a look and let us know what you think. Best regards, Andrew Beccone The library continues to seek out collaborative situations with likeminded individuals and organizations.
