I would appreciate the benefits of your collective wisdom, please. I run an Open Access ejournal, the Journal of Art Historiography, and have been approached by Proquest to sign a Licensing Agreement with them. It is important to me that the journal stays free and that when I want to I can make hard copy versions of special issues available for sale. I believe that the advantage of signing up with Proquest is that it will improve my journal’s profile but this would only be true if major institutions teaching art history used Proquest’s services. How is Proquest rated by specialist art librarians? If it is appropriate do please send me your advice off list.
Many thanks in anticipation for your help,
Richard
