Changing Roles of Subject Librarians ACRL OnPoint Chat

May 3rd, 2011 · No Comments · OnPoint

Join Rhonda Huisman, Assistant Librarian at Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis, at 12:00 p.m. Central on May 12, 2011, for an ACRL OnPoint Chat to discuss the changing roles of subject librarians.  What are the ways subject librarian roles are changing? How does instruction, collection development, reference, assessment, and building relationships with others around campus fit into this new role? Join this lively discussion and gain new insights to the changing role of subject librarians.

ACRL OnPoint is a live series of informal text-based chat sessions that provide the opportunity to connect with colleagues and experts to discuss an issue of the day in academic and research librarianship. All ACRL OnPoint chats are free and open to the public. Sessions are unmoderated and take place in a Meebo chat room (text-based chat, no audio or visuals). Complete details and access information are available on the ACRL Website.
