Hello All,

Please excuse cross-posting. I have another question: a student is trying to find an image (online or print) of the original painting by W. R. Bigg called "The Sailor's Orphans, or the Young Ladies' Subscription." All she has is a mezzotint made after it by William Ward in 1799. I've done some research and I strongly suspect the original painting doesn't exist anymore as I can't find any reference to it. There are reproductions for sale online, but I think they are copied after the mezzotint. If anyone knows otherwise, I'd appreciate any help you can give. Please contact me off list. Thanks.
