Art Metropole is pleased to launch CCMC's most recent recording:
CCMC Play at Double Double.
A deluxe multi-format release produced in a numbered edition of 100 CDs and numbered edition of 100 audio cassettes, from Free Market Records.

CCMC Play at Double Double is a documentary rendering of what CCMC did one hot summer night in 2010. Captured here is their entire performance, John Oswald's sombre stabs on the saxophone, the extended dynamism emitted from the mouth of Paul Dutton, and the exacting synthesizer shapings formed by Michael Snow. What you hear is not only how the group sounded, but how the night sounded. Recorded at Double Double Land in Toronto's Kensington Market, CCMC Play At Double Double is a resource revealing the current musical method of CCMC and their masterful spontaneous compositions.

Join us at Art Metropole to celebrate this new document of one of Canada's most inspiring and influential musical collectives. The three members of CCMC will be present. Additional materials by Dutton, Oswald and Snow will also be on view, along with a selection of related vintage works.

About CCMC:
The trio of Paul Dutton, John Oswald, and Michael Snow have been CCMC since the mid 1990s, following several personnel shifts since the group was founded in 1974. Masters in their field (and in their respective individual fields), CCMC remains at the forefront of creative music, particularly "free improvisation", combining Dutton's soundsinging and harmonica, Oswald's saxophone and Snow's piano and synthesizer. Their music features individual virtuosity and collective creativity in the spontaneous invention of shifting tapestries of texture and timbre, with process taking precedence and form evolving organically. CCMC continues to create its music in concerts locally and internationally.

Production and multiple design by Mani Mazinani for Free Market Records.
