ASSISTANT LIBRARIAN/HEAD OF RESEARCH SERVICES FOR THE CENTER FOR CREATIVE PHOTOGRAPHY

 

The University of Arizona Libraries and Center for Creative Photography seek a Librarian/Archivist who will be responsible for day-to-day management of the Research Study Room, including reference assistance, access and security to the Center's collections for national and international visiting scholars, students, faculty and other staff, for manuscript collections activities including arranging, describing, preserving, preparing finding aids and entering records into collection information system, and for identifying, upholding and communicating issues surrounding copyright, privacy and confidentiality in archival collections. 

Required:  Master’s degree in Library/Information Science from ALA-accredited institution, Certification by the Academy of Certified Archivists or three years relevant or professional experience in a special collection or archival library, and reference experience in special collections that includes photographic materials, experience processing special collections of photographic materials, and excellent communication and organizational skills.
