New Orleans -April 14, 2011 The Society of Architectural Historians announced the recipients of the Society of Architectural Historians 2011 Book Awards, presented during the Annual Meeting held in New Orleans, Louisiana.
Antoinette Forrester Downing Book Award - established in 1987, the Downing award honors excellence in a published work devoted to historical topics in preservation.

Alice Davis Hitchcock Book Award – established in 1949, the Hitchcock award recognizes annually the most distinguished work of scholarship in the history of architecture published by a North American scholar.
