Ah, a perennial question, with no really good answers for the arts & humanities! The education librarian introduced me to one tool you might want to look at: Publish or Perish. http://www.harzing.com/pop.htm It's a free application which uses Google Scholar to perform citation metrics, and I've found it's VERY useful for scholars in fields that aren't well-covered in the ISI databases.
