Dear Colleagues,

Just thought I’d share this news, posted on the Society of Architectural Historian’s (SAH) Listserv and their Communities Site.

This is also an excuse to let you know about the SAH Communities Site: https://sahcommunities.groupsite.com/main/summary.  It functions as a way to organize communication among SAH members, a way for SAH members to form discussion forums, plus a blog, a calendar, a place to post files for sharing, and a place to network virtually.  This site was set up in early fall 2010 and I have watched it grow with interest.  There are currently 8 discussion groups:

Digital Humanities

Early Modern Architecture

Graduate Students

Landscape History

Modern Architecture

Pedagogy

Preservation

Urban Palimpsest Group

Members of this list may be especially interested to know that the Pedagogy group is building a Pedagogy Bibliography.  See: https://sahcommunities.groupsite.com/group/pedagogy/discussion/topic/show/443262

For those of you not familiar with SAH, they are one of ARLIS/NA’s affiliated societies, and they promote the study and preservation of the built environment worldwide.  Their next annual meeting will be in New Orleans, April 13-16, 2011.  See: http://asoft130.securesites.net/secure/sah/index.php?src=gendocs&ref=2010_Home for registration and conference program information.

Please do not hesitate to get in touch should you have question about SAH or SAH conferences.

Best wishes,

Janine Henri
