Hello ARLIS librarians! Do you have collection development, instructional,
and/or departmental liaison responsibilities in the areas of costume,
textiles, fashion design, or fashion merchandising? If so, we want to hear
from you!

Sandra Ley, of Pima Community College, and I are putting together a 4-hour
workshop for ARLIS/NA's Annual Conference in March: "Postcards from the
Edge: Fashion & Textiles.” It’s designed to help traditional art librarians
develop the subject expertise needed to serve patrons interested in fashion-
and textile-related fields. For this workshop, we will be compiling a list
of (free) world wide web resources (websites, blogs, etc.) useful to fashion
and textiles librarians, students and faculty.

If you have professional responsibilities in these areas and would welcome
the opportunity to network with other fashion librarians, please respond.
If you know another fashion or textiles librarian who is not on ARLIS-L,
please forward. If you already have some expertise in these areas, we would
love to know what websites, blogs and other online resources you consult and
recommend. We will gladly compile the results and create a web page of WWW
fashion & textile resources, to be shared after the conference ends. Please
reply off-list.

Thanks for your help!
