The Libraries of the Metropolitan Museum of Art invite applications for the full-time position of Public Services Librarian, Nolen Library and Thomas J. Watson Library. The Public Services Librarian will be actively involved in providing excellent reference service in Nolen and Watson Libraries. This position coordinates Nolen Library's services on weekends, including managing and providing ongoing training for volunteers and other staff who assist in providing service to the library's diverse clientele. In addition, the incumbent will develop new program initiatives to enhance Nolen's reach and to encourage engagement with the library and the Museum, and will participate in collection development for Nolen and Watson Libraries. The schedule is Saturday-Wednesday, with some flexibility required depending upon the programs developed. Staff in the Museum's libraries work in a customer service driven, collaborative, and team-based environment.
