Hello, I'm the collections analyst for the Periodicals Department at the Fashion Institute of Technology library. We are often given gifts of fashion or textile-related periodicals that we already have. Since the fashion business is not exactly art (decorative art? Applied art? Design industry?), I hesitate to post available materials here. Not to mention that librarians from schools focused on fashion may not necessarily be on this list. For these reasons, I am working to build a list similar to ARLIS but for passing along fashion-related materials. Is anyone else doing something similar? And is anyone interesting in being a part of this project? Please let me know what you think.
