6 librarians responded * 4 museum libraries * 1 museum/school library * 1 academic library Here is the essence of their responses. 1. May I presume that you subscribe to their Museum Collection? Yes - 5 No - 0 No response - 1 2. Do you include any of their "Current Scholarship Program" in your subscription? Yes - 0 No - 5 No response - 1 3. How would you rate the JSTOR Museum Collection's usefulness to your Curatorial and Education departments? * Very useful to our curators and interns and even more useful to me personally in finding articles for the aforementioned curators and interns! We actually came in as a "very small museum" by their matrix, so it is really a good bargain to boot. * Curatorial, exhibitions, and collections staff love it. Our students are less enthralled. It is one tool in a good set. * The Curatorial department had been requesting a subscription to JSTOR for several years but we did not have the budget for it. They are thankful that we have it now. I think it has made their work easier. We went with the Museum Collection because it is also heavily used by our Conservators, especially our conservation scientist. I couldn't say if it is useful to Education Department staff but docents have used it at times and seemed happy with the results. Additionally, it has made our reference work easier. * JSTOR's usefulness is very high. JSTOR is certainly a time saver for conducting research as well as offering options for journals we don't have the money to subscribe to. Well worth the money. * I do not recommend JSTOR at all based on my experiences. While there is a lot of useful content, it is often borderline useless due to the lack of indexing as well as inadequate search features. * Very useful. Thank you again to all those who took the time to consider and reply, Susan Susan T. Ferrer-Vinent Denver Art Museum Library 100 W. 14th Ave. Pkwy.
