Chris had a glorious career in the field of art librarianship,
culminating as Librarian/Drue Heinz Librarian at the American Academy in
Rome for fifteen years. From 1988-1992, she was the Editor, Italian
Office, of the /BHA/. From 1982-1985, she was Deputy Librarian/Head of
Access & Support Services, Avery Architectural and Fine Arts Library and
from 1980-1982, Reference Librarian and Fine Arts Bibliographer at
Avery. She was the Art Librarian, Oberlin College, from 1975-1976;
Indexer at the /Art Index/ from 1975-1976, and Assistant Fine Arts
Librarian, Cornell University from 1970-1975. She graduated from Mount
Holyoke and had an library degree from Columbia and a master’s degree in
art history from Cornell.

Christina was an extremely talented art librarian skilled in both public
service and technical service, an enthusiastic scholar with diverse
interests, and a wonderful friend and mentor. She was an inspiration to
many of us in the field and will be greatly missed..
